GE Biacore S200
This label-free system is used for molecular interaction analysis in basic research, drug discovery and development research. The surface plasmon resonance (SPR) instrument detects ligand binding to immobilized macromolecules. When a ligand binds to molecules immobilized on the sensor surface, the SPR sensorgram traces the association and dissociation of the complex, revealing the kinetics of the interaction and affinity values. Any publications and other research reports which arise from experiments conducted using this instrument must acknowledge the Shared Instrument Grant award 1S10OD021539-01.
LJL Analyst AD 96 and 384 Multimode Reader
These two filter-based plate readers are capable of a variety of read modes. They feature both continuous and flash lamp light sources, adjustable Z-height, with top or bottom read capabilities using 96- or 384- well plates, absorbance, luminescence, fluorescence intensity, time-resolved fluorescence and fluorescence polarization.
BD/Atto Pathway Confocal Imager
This imaging microscope performs a wide range of fluorescence-based readouts such as intensity measurements, kinetic imaging, and morphological analysis, including subcellular imaging. Cellular images can be captured in either confocal or widefield mode to deliver high-resolution images for subsequent analysis.
Environmental Chamber of Pathway Imager
Equipped with an environmentally-controlled chamber, integrated liquid handling and a binocular eyepiece allowing for direct viewing of live cells in both fluorescence and transmitted light modes.
Caliper LabChip 3000 High-Throughput Microfluidic Screening System
The LC 3000 is a drug discovery system utilizing microfluidics and capillary electrophoresis technology for kinase and other enzyme screening, profiling, assay development, mechanism of action, and lead optimization studies.
The LC3000 miniaturizes, integrates and automates enzymatic and cell-based assays. LabChip mobility shift assays allow quantitation of both substrate and product.
Meso Scale Discovery Sector 6000 Microplate ELISA Systems
The MSD Sector 6000 utilizes electrochemiluminescence to detect binding events on specially patterned plates. This detection method uses labels that emit light when electrochemically stimulated. It is ideal for applications requiring high information content and high throughput in part due to its no-wash immunoassay format.
Plate formats include 96- and 384-well plates and also offer arrays within the well for increased throughput and assay multiplexing, with up to 100 spots per well. MSD’s technology can be used for targets such as kinases, for protein-protein interaction studies, and many other applications.

The FLIPR® Tetra high throughput cellular screening system is an industry-renowned, flexible, and reliable real-time kinetic cellular assay screening system for identifying early leads against GPCRs and ion channels.
The system features simultaneous pipette and read capability, which makes the system ideal for fast kinetic cellular assays, such as calcium flux.

This monochromator-based plate reader is capable of a variety of read modes: Absorbance, Luminescence, Fluorescence Intensity and Time-Resolved Fluorescence. It features a flash lamp light source, fully-tunable for spectra capture and a cuvette port, with top or bottom read capabilities in 6- to 384- well plates.
Perkin Elmer Enspire
This 384-well instrument incorporates two distinct reading modes: AlphaScreen and the Corning Epic optical wavelength shift technology. AlphaScreen is a chemiluminescent proximity binding assay in which donor and acceptor beads are brought together in close proximity by binding partners attached to the beads. Using an optical wavelength grating, the Enspire also detects the shift in the wavelength of refracted light due to binding events in biochemical assays or dynamic mass redistribution in cell-based assays.
